Do You Have to Cycle Testosterone Supplements?

testosterone cyclingOne of the most important things to consider when choosing a testosterone supplement is that testosterone doses must be cycled in order to prevent your body from adapting to the added testosterone and hitting a plateau. When adaptation occurs, the testosterone supplement may not only become ineffective, but may partially block the body from producing testosterone on its own.

What Is Cycling?

Cycling is the process of taking a specific dosage of a supplement for a pre-determined amount of time(usually 4-6 weeks for testosterone) and then refraining from taking supplementation for that same amount of time (another 4-6 weeks).

There are various ways to go about testosterone cycling and you must decide which works best for your body.

Low vs. High Dose Steroid Cycles

Many users think that in order to bulk up quickly they must start at a high dose steroid (500 mg). Of course, starting with a high dose will produce bigger bulking at a quicker rate. However, when you start at a high rate, you cannot as easily increase your dosage without the risk of very serious side effects.

On the other hand, if you start with only 250 mg of testosterone you may not bulk up as quickly or as much as those that start with the high dosage, but you can, during your second cycle, increase your dosage.

All in all, it is up to your preferences and where you choose to start will be dependent on what kind of results you are looking for.

Stacking vs. Single Steroids

In addition to choosing the dosage of steroid, you must decide if you want to cycle with multiple steroids or just one. In most cases, users who choose to start with a small dosage cycle will choose a single steroid dose to keep things simple.

Some may ask why a user would choose to stack steroids on the first cycle. Well, the first cycle is said to produce the best results, and most likely will never be duplicated, so the idea is to make it the best, most effective cycle possible.

For this reason many people decide to add on Sustanon, Dianabol, and Deca Durabolin as booster supplements. However, you must be cautious when adding these supplements and be sure to add the correct dosages to avoid serious side effects.

Again, whether to go with single or multiple steroids is, in the end, a personal decision that you should make based on desired results.

Recommended dosage of these supplements is posted on the bottle and should be followed closely.

How to Come off a Testosterone Cycle

Once you have gone through an entire testosterone cycle it is important to know what to do while you are off the testosterone to keep your body functioning properly. Here are a few, easy to follow tips to keep your body working properly while you are not taking the testosterone supplements.

1. Remember, because you are no longer on testosterone boosters, you may lose some muscle mass quickly.
2. You may want to take Clomid while you are off the testosterone boosters. This will help to regulate your body’s production of HPTA and allow your body to get back into the rhythm of producing testosterone naturally.
3. Some participants suggest using Clomid for at least three weeks to restore your body to its natural rhythm of testosterone production.

Remember that all of these recommendations are just that, recommendations. You are the one that knows best how your body works. You should always pay attention to your body’s natural signals and choose the system that works best with your body.

      Hi Eugenio,
If you have high blood pressure, you should probably not cycle testosterone. Testosterone supplements may lead to an overproduction of red blood cells and blood thickening. Read more about this here.

I have been taking the product High T. I was told High T doesn’t have to be cycled. I don’t believe that. Because every product, you seem to have to cycle it. With that said, do I have to cycle High T??

I have to say this us only site to warn people of long term testosterone replacement. Over time without a break your LH system can shut down making you dependant on external test for life.
Think cycling and I think the clomid is a good idea as well.
